Tang Changhong

President of China’s No.1 Aircraft Design and Research Institute and Chief Designer of the new generation of Flying Leopard-Tang Changhong

 

Tang Changhong, born in Lantian County, Xi’an City, Shaanxi Province, graduated from the Department of Aerodynamics of Northwestern Polytechnical University in 1982 and then was assigned to work for the No.1 Aircraft Design and Research Institute of AVIC 1. He completed his master’s study in the Department of solid mechanics in Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics in 1989 and participated in the research and development of Flying Leopard aircrafts, Y7-200A, MPC-75, AE-100 aircrafts and other pre-research projects. Currently he holds a number of important titles, including Chief Designer and Vice President of China’s No.1 Aircraft Design and Research Institute of AVIC 1, Chief Designer and Research for China’s key aircrafts, Expert with Outstanding Contributions in Shaanxi Province, and Exemplary Worker in Shaanxi Province.
