Wei Yingwu (737~792), a famous poet in Tang Dynasty, Han Nationality, was born in Chang’an (current Xi’an City, Shaanxi Province). He is the author of the 10-volume edition of Collections of Wei Jiangzhou, the 2-volume edition of Collected Poems of Wei Suzhou, and the 10-volume edition of Collections of Wei Suzhou. Throughout his life only one prose has been handed out. He has taken the post of Suzhou Prefectural Governor, which gave him the name of “Wei Suzhou”. His poems are peaceful and ambitious. He has been known for his vivid depiction of sceneries and peaceful reclusive life.
